Behind the Scenes of Rural Youth Project

You might know Rural Youth Project as an opportunity to win free spots to the Rally or, possibly, you have never even noticed the existence of this Rural Youth Europe’s competition at all. Whatever is the case,  Rural Youth Europe views the Rural Youth Project as something more than a competition. It is a platform to showcase the good work done by our member organizations to the rest of the world (or at least to as many people as we can reach). Whether you are maintaining your cultural heritage, bringing forgotten skills to light, or extending a helpful hand to ones in need, your work should be appreciated. And hopefully, the good work done so far will inspire others to follow suit.

This year the board of Rural Youth Europe was really impressed with the creativity and commitment towards local communities demonstrated by our member organisations. Therefore, we would like to thank all of the organisations that entered this year’s competition – all of the people involved have done a great job and should feel proud of themselves!

Nonetheless, while we are satisfied with the results achieved, we hope to further develop of the Rural Youth Project competition in order to allow even more projects to be brought into the spotlight. Thus, do not be surprised if next year’s competition looks a little different. Moreover, if you have any suggestions on how the competition could be improved, please, feel free to let us know.

Depending on when you are reading this, the public vote for Rural Youth Project 2017 might still be open. So, head to our Facebook page, take a look at our finalists and cast your vote to select the winner.Take part – it’s good for you!
