YOUTH IMPACT: Engaging politics, building communities - A new Erasmus+ KA2 project engaging young people in civic participation and community building Europe (February 2026)
The project brings together eight European organisations to strengthen youth participation in democratic life and support young people in becoming active members of their communities.
The initiative responds to several pressing challenges affecting young people across Europe, including low levels of political participation, increasing social polarisation, skills gaps and youth unemployment, as well as barriers to accessing resources despite the widespread availability of digital tools developing innovative forms of cooperation and networking between youth organisations implementing hybrid capacity-building activities, both online and offline empowering young people, youth leaders, youth workers and volunteers promoting community building through youth exchanges and thematic festivals.

The project will unfold through several key phases and activities, including:
a kick-off meeting in Madeira, Portugal in February 2026
a training course in Madeira, Portugal in April 2026
the development of engagement strategies both online and offline
training programmes for community activators
international youth exchanges and festivals focused on civic
participation
policy advocacy activities and the development of position papers.
The project is funded by the EUROPEAN EDUCATION AND CULTURE EXECUTIVE AGENCY (EACEA) of the European Commission under the Erasmus+ KA3 European Youth Together programme.
