Rural Voices: Energy transition 101 

In this session, we will discuss actions to boost rural youth engagement in energy transition and smart energies, fitting diverse demographics across rural communities.

• Participants: RYE members, local community representatives, and youth leaders from rural areas 

All participants are invited to share thoughts, discuss follow-up actions, and explore how to bring these outcomes into their own communities. 

This event will be a follow-up to the international seminar that took place in Manchester in early September along with follow up activities and will focus on taking stock of the progress made, presenting outcomes, and defining the way forward both in local contexts and for Rural Youth Europe (RYE). 

The event is part of the Rural Voices: Energy transition 101 project. 

Project Objectives: 

1. Raise Awareness: Increase knowledge among young people in rural areas about energy transition and smart energies. 

1. Empowerment: Equip rural youth with the skills to take action on energy issues in their local communities and bring these discussions back to their youth organizations. 

1. European Engagement: Explore what RYE can do at the European level to support youth involvement in energy transition.
