European Youth Event
In 2025 Rural Youth Europe attended the European Youth Event (EYE), a platform where young people can engage directly with Members of the European Parliament.
Every two years, the European Youth Event (EYE) brings together thousands of young people from across Europe and beyond at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. EYE is more than just an event, it’s a platform where young people can engage directly with Members of the European Parliament, share ideas with experts and activists, and take part in hands-on activities that inspire change.
EYE2025, taking place on 13–14 June, will once again transform the heart of European democracy into a vibrant space for youth participation, creativity, and dialogue. As part of the EYE Village programme, coordinated by the European Youth Forum, Rural Youth Europe is proud to contribute with interactive activities that reflect the voices and concerns of rural youth.
Our participation in EYE2025 highlights the importance of including rural perspectives in EU-level conversations on food systems, energy transition, and youth engagement.
We will be organising two activities: “MythBusters: Food Production in Europe” and “Powering Change: Youth in the Energy Revolution”, and will also be hosting a stand to learn how rural youth are driving change in their communities and across Europe!
